Indiana PRS considers internal investment management

In 2016, the Indiana Public Retirement System (INPRS) engaged a joint team of Cutter Associates and Funston Advisory Services to help them consider the feasibility of moving the management of some portions of the fund portfolio in-house. This is an increasing trend about major public pension funds in the U.S. as a means of reducing investment management fees and improving overall fund performance. The results of the Cutter/FAS study were presented to the INPRS Board of Trustees on June 23, 2017, as reported by Pensions & Investments in an article which can be found here: http://www.pionline.com/article/20170623/ONLINE/170629906/indiana-assigns-200-million-discusses-barriers-to-moving-assets-in-house
