Abdaal Mazhar Shafi

Abdaal Mazhar Shafi is a technology leader with global experience across 25+ countries on four continents. He began his career working on emerging technologies in collaboration with governments and Fortune Global 500 companies. His early projects spanned autonomous vehicles, satellite imaging, artificial intelligence, and GPU-based data processing.

Abdaal is the Founder and Partner of Quantum Lead, a creative technology consultancy with offices in New York, Montréal, and Toronto. The firm is known for helping designer brands and global retailers modernize their digital operations, while also delivering cross-functional innovation across sectors including manufacturing, consumer goods, nonprofits, and health and life sciences. Abdaal bridges cutting-edge technology with strategic execution for organizations navigating growth, complexity, and compliance.

Beyond the private sector, Abdaal founded a national education nonprofit that empowered over 5,000 youth and educators across Canada to become change agents in a rapidly evolving world, in partnership with leading companies. He also actively mentors startups and advises local nonprofits and civic organizations, supporting their efforts to scale with purpose and impact.

He holds a B.Eng. from McGill University and was a Venture Member at the Harvard Innovation Lab. He currently serves on the McGill University Alumni Board and represents Canada at the G20 Young Entrepreneurs’ Alliance.
